So despite all the
trials and tribulations leading up to it, everything worked out in the end and I made it to MFF 2013.
A customer trip brought me to Long Island (NY) for the Sunday to Thursday, and then the Thursday afternoon I flew out to Chicago.
This con was definitely one of the better ones for me this year. The last one I was at, RainFurrest, really didn't work well for me due to work and coming off being ill. While this time I was still coming off a cold, it was much better in terms of socializing and costuming. Got to talk with most of the people that I wanted to, briefly see the others, which was net positive overall.
I'm not much of a 'be in costume as much as possible' kind of person these days, but I did get plenty of time in as Tseatah (mk.II) and Loot (the teal deer).
There were a few things that I'm definitely sad that I missed, but mostly silly things (like a photoshoot for saberteethed critters - of which Tseatah definitely is!)
