Before you ask, all right, yeah. It's that Curt Wild. That one that fronted The Rats way back when, wrote 'TV Eye', flashed his nether regions on stage more occasions than he can count. That Something What's-His-Face That Fucked Brian Slade.
Yeah. That Curt.
Not that many people remember that Curt, but then not too many knew him in the first place. With the band or the featured stuff with The Venus in Furs. It's no big deal. I know he was one of the first big glam rockers, but glam's been dead a long time now, took a lot of people with it. Haven't seen Malcolm or any of The Flaming Creatures around. Still talk to Jack Fairy sometimes, but we were pretty close friends, it's not anything to do with glam. Nobody knows where Maxwell Demon is these days, though. Big fucking surprise.
Even back when people wore feather boas and glitter eye makeup and eight inch heeled platforms, though, Curt was big, sure, but not as big as the rest of them. ...Not sure I could've handled being famous as the rest of them, though. Got suffocating enough when you were just trying to have a regular night out and it was 'Curt Wild' this and 'autograph' that. It was wild sometimes, pardon the random pun, but it could be fun. Kind of a high, when you got enough into it.
Whatever, it's all over. It's in the past.
But I'm not saying there's not those days a guy's cooped up all alone in the bar, nursing a fifth of Jack, and maybe starting to miss times when people actually knew his fuckin' name.
So. I'm Curt. Who the hell are you?
((This is... basically copied word for word from my
theatrical_muse OOC talkin's, but I don't want to forget to mention anything here XD I think this is the most of it. Anyway, firstly: Curt is taken after movie canon - specifically, from the 1984 timeline where the movie ends off. That doesn't mean he's not going to have quite a few backtrack prompts in his repertoire, but as for arpee. Yayyy, disgruntled, post-movie Ewans!
This is also cut for excessive use of colorful, four-letter words, as Curt is prone to do. There are spoilers for Velvet Goldmine underneath too, as well as they are probably going to be in the comments. Although the movie's from '98, I suppose I don't have to warn for that, but~t I hate spoiling people for movies, and this one really is a fantastic one - I'd highly recommend it. Anyway! Off I go!))
