and then some

Life is still kind of... slow.  This has provided me with ample time to actually be diciplened in many areas.  I've run 2 miles everyday since I've been up here, played piano every day for at least 40 minutes.  I'm trying to get a decent repetoire again so I can audition for credited lessons next term, or semeseter or when ever they're offered.  I'm not going to be able to keep it up this regime of diciplene with classes starting up, but it'll be interesting to see how consistant I remain.  I also made it into choir which was cool!  I think I'm the only freshman guy.

Math is still hard and it still sucks.  Math humour on the contrary, is amazing.

I've met more people and it's getting less lonely and more fun.  But still no one's as cool as my friends.  I've been meeting new people, and being reminded of totally random people from my past that I didn't even know that much.  There's a Marasol girl, a Julia Shiloh girl, a Meehan Dellar girl.  My floor is mostly girls actually.  There's also a Michael Kiyoi guy, but only the quiet side of Mike.  He's my neighboor and he's from Taiwan.  He's been my gym buddy, and partner in not-going-to-leadership stuff.  Last night was pretty fun, we rounded up everyone in our building who wasn't at the school movie (Hellboy) and who wasn't out getting smashed/raped at the frat parties and we had our own movie night in the common room.  We used my projector, someone else's speakers, and "borrowed" someone's copy of Pulp Fiction and had a grand old time watching that till 3 AM.  Good community building... or whatever.

A Cast of Characters:  (This is kinda dangerous seeing as they might read this, but probably not, but if you are, don't hate me))

One of the coolest people I've met so far is a girl named Anna, she's the Marisol one.  Very loud.  Actually, kind of like Diana too.  We played ping pong for money and she beat me.  I'm fucking good at ping pong.  And this girl beat me.  That's awesome.  (To clarify:  we played 4 games, the first 2 for a dollar each, which she won narrowly.  I won the next 2 games with no money on the line, and had the point differential at the end of the set.  But I was still down 2 bucks.)

Tiny Kim (not little) she's very peppy and really really nice to every one I've seen.  She's 85 pounds and really pretty.  The kind of girl that has reason to guard her phone from creepy 25 year old boys.  She's been out frat partying which I wouldn't have expected from her after my first impression.  She's a conservative Christian though, but also a teenager a I guess. We get along alright as long as we don't talk about politics.  She kind of reminds me of Liz personality wise.   A Leadership-type.

Amy (the Meehan Dellar one)  she's like, 6'3 and a crazy volleyball player.  Really pretty too.  She's just popular, with her v ball connections and she's pretty enough to ride that side of the social scene.  Haven't actually talked with her that much because she's out partying and doing her thing.  But a pretty girl in great shape any way you look.

And then my neighboor Kevin from Taiwan.  A cool guy.  Plays guitar, and we've had some (attempted) jam sessions with the keyboard I brought up and his guitar.  He knows cool techno, and is a Christian, but not a preachy one.  And I talked to his mom when I was moving in, so she and I are tight.  He's my gym buddy, and he's just ripped.  But I can kick his ass in raquetball and squash and running.  But I can't bench twice my body weight.

I finally got my THEATRE set up in my room.  It makes a big difference being able to watch movies and have video games again.  Not that I have time like that.   Went out and bought a white bedsheet to project onto and it's really slick.  HALO 2 November 9th... :)

if you read all that you must love me!
