Whee
I leave for Paris from LAX at 6:30 in the morning. Transfer in Philly, then to Charles DeGaulle. I'm nervous, and excited and it's going to be amazing. I'm getting back on the 31st of August.
I went skimming at Ledbetter today with Devin, for the last time for 3 weeks. He got a brand new Vic, a Pro Vac, and it's nice, but too small for him. I had one really nice ride, my last of the day, where I went out, turned at the top of a swell, caught it and rode it back in. It was really fun and it keeps making me smile everytime I think of it. The little kids on the beach were pointing "did you see that, he caught a wave!" and then they try to skim with their boogie boards. That means you're doing it right. Before that, I took a chunk out of my toe on an underwater rock, but I am still very happy-tired-sore right now.
Back to France, don't know if I'll be able to check this or not, but leave your address and you get a postcard or something cool when I get back.
Note to self about who's borrowing my stuff:
Ben has my Doom 3, Megan has my THPS Underground, Matt has my skimboard WITH NO SCRATCHES.
