Contemplation

Well, I guess its been quite a while since I wrote anything.

I suppose I could do with a little bit of an update. The last I remember posting I was in an unhappy relationship, needless to say as you will all know that is now well and truly over, with things having much improved with my new girlfriend. Joni is just excellent for me, she is interested in very similar things to me (except music taste, but hey we both will listen to each others music), she is as into the relationship as I am, for the last 7 weeks I don't think we spent more than 2 nights a week apart, usually that was so we would actually get some work done.

However now term has ended and she isn't around so I am a little sad. I go home on the 11th and start work on the 12th, which shall be "fun" but the plus side is that I have a day off on 13th, which means since Joni only lives about 1.5 hours away on train I can go visit. What makes this even better is I can get to her place for absolutely free!!
So all is not lost as I get to see her next week and will do my upmost to see her again before the holiday is over, especially as all it costs me is the time to get there.

In other news.......
My ju jitsu is going well, we had a groundfighting tournament for the final session of term, I came second in the graded males, unfortunately beaten by the same guy that beat me in the ungraded males last year. Next year I say!!
We have also recently had a change in Senseii, which whilst was a bit rocky through the transition is now starting to work quite well and I am beginning to enjoy the new style of teaching.

My course has had a couple of rocky patches recently, such as being accused of cheating in lab, not scoring so well on another lab report whilst being told "the equipment being broken is no excuse for poor data" - of course why should I get crappy data if the Noise is biger than the signal, of course I should still be getting good data, man who do they employ to mark these dammn things.

In general lectures have gone well with my recent edition of a laptop for taking notes, followed by purchasing a graphics tablet to go with it to allow me to draw my diagrams, now who said it was impossible to take notes for science lectures on a laptop?? - The best part is I can actually keep up with the lecturers writing out equations and mine look so much neater now compared to handwritten.

A slight dissapointment for me recently was that my TV has decided to blow which means I no longer have that as my other option as a second monitor for my computer, making watching things slightly harder, have to use the spare 17" CRT now.

I can't wait to get my new Ibanez RG370DXL for xmas, it is going to be so awesome and perhaps inspire me to learn to play a lot better than I currently can.

Ok folks thats all for now, so keep up the good work and everyone have a good Xmas if I don't see you before hand.
