Bonjour mes petits chéris! This is a first ever live journal post right here, so I will be as interesting as physically, mentally and emotionally possible for all you avid lowlifes out there.
First I must recap on the highlights of the V Festival (photographs will be posted sometime in the not-so-near future).
The V Festival was stand-out because:
1. It rained hardcore for 10 minutes and stopped just when everyone got into their neon orange raincoat/ponchos.
2. When the lead singer from Softlights said his next song was about "robots dancing" and in a state of excitement Krissi yelled a long, hypermasculine "YES!!" gripping the air with clenched fingers. Absolutely everyone stopped and stared in what seemed to me like silence. It was shit funny.
3. Clare, Amy, Krissi and I were the only lineup for the under 18s line. We subsequently had 'PUNTER' wristbands.
4. They sold REALLY SALTY CHIPS!
5. We saw the GJ guy! HECK FUCKING YES!!
6. The Nouvelle Vague double bass player was a hot hunk-of-man!
7. We were standing right at the front for Jarvis Cocker, Beck, Nouvelle Vague and the Pixies!
8. A random old man joined us while we were dancing to the Pixies. We said absolutely nothing to him and vice versa. We just danced.
9. The awesome security guard guarded our belongings and no one elses because he was cool and we were cool. We are still cool.
10. Phoenix was great. Hot French men.
Other than V-Fest goodness, yesterday was my auntie and uncles conjoint birthday celebration as well as our Easter celebration. This meant large proportions of food and equal proportions of chocolate. I am expecting a heart attack later this afternoon.
OH MAN I LOVE REVERSI!
Other than celebratory events, I've got some shitty exams when I get back to uni so i'm just like, dieing really. Marketing exam and short oral, quantitative anal exam, logo design and a draft of my essay on consumer resistance. Bloody fantastic.
Enough said. Thankyou for reading.
