State Hopping

I'm sure that those of you that have read this in the past have long since realized that I update about once every year, so I'll understand if this is read by no one other than myself. Besides, that's what a journal is for, right? To analyze your own thoughts. Anyway, the past year has turned into quite an odd color in the spectrum of the last few years. Terri and I were stuck in Port Charlotte Florida for a little less than a year, but we've crawled out and have reached the surface in a beautiful town in Central Kentucky. I've had a few requests for commissioned paintings which has taken some getting used to. It's not like I hate getting paid to paint, but I never started painting to make money. I paint for the enjoyment, and when someone comes along and offers money for me to paint a crappy picture of their family or their dog, it kinda sucks the fun out of it. Regardless, it is very nice supplemental income. Terri has also created a beautiful website for all of my artwork ( http://www.mcallisterart.com ). The one thing that has been pounding my mind though, is finding a job. The town we're living in is beautiful and friendly and all, but they have virtually nothing when it comes to employment. I've been in this situation before, and have come out on top, so I'm not too worried. Other than that, my days are filled with time spent with Terri and Luna, and I couldn't really ask for anymore than that.
