I Wasn't Avoiding This Journal On Purpose

...I just didn't have much in the way of stuff that was cool or new or worth posting.

I didn't see the latest Harry Potter movie because I hadn't seen the previous one yet (last one I saw was Half-Blood Prince).

My AT&T service is flaky. Especially when it's hot, which is pretty darned frequent in July.

Our neighbor, the one whose car was repossessed, apologized to my parents today. Turned out that the man that Dad had spoken to was NOT the man who actually did the repossession. Still, I figure it may be a while before neighborly relations resume the level they were pre-crisis. (I'm thinking now he probably didn't sabotage Moonshine and the nail in her tire was likely picked up on a road I drive that passes by a place where mobile homes are demolished.)

I still do too much of that shopping-without-buying-anything business. Went to Maryville, stopped at half a dozen places and came back with...a new art knife handle, an assortment of knife blades, and a monthy trade circular for flea market vendors. (I'm not in the business but I like keeping up with the trends. Anybody want Angry Birds plushies?) I could have bought more stuff but I didn't feel justified.
