Got the J-11 at the Asheville Hobby Town and the Su-35 mail order from Amazon.co.jp
I paid what I thought was an awful penalty rate on the shipping, but I'm not that unhappy with that outcome.
The two kits share no parts commonality. The fuselage of the Su-35 is greatly resculpted with many small detail changes.
The most obvious change is that the Su-35 omits the airbrake feature of the Su-27 model.
The front and rear have both been greatly altered.
I still have a lot of learning ahead of me before I get to cutting plastic.
