Because of events going on in my mother's electronic writers' organization, I had to check the word count of the still-incomplete compiled version of Chillin' Out. It's just over 100,000 words.
Mom says that's too long for a publishable novel.
I need a critiquer that I can trust, to read through the work and 1) tell me where I need to clarify 2) tell me where I need to cut 3) tell me what I need to do to make the book a better read.
I can't really trust my mother, as good as a writer as she is. I don't have any local real-life friends who know the writing craft enough to help me.
If you're willing to take on the job or know somebody who would, let me know. Thank you.
