MARY FRANCES SWAREZ BURLINGTON - Mary Frances Swarez, 64, died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a bout with lung cancer. Mary was born on March 11, 1944, in Burlington, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Watson) Ranck. She was a member of the last graduating class from Edmunds High School. She also graduated from Pensacola Jr. College in Florida. She worked at Champlain College in the dining hall for over 20 years and retired in 2003. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also spent time doing crafts and shopping, as well as going out. Mary is survived by her children, Robert Burdo and wife Dee of Burlington, Dawn Avila and husband John of Burlington, Tracy Burdo of Burlington and Dana Baylis and wife Jeanette of Milton; by 10 grandchildren, Amber, Angelee, Jen, Jeremy, Katie, Michael, Nathaniel, Noah, Robbie, Stephanie; and by five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Emily, Kaylyn and Madison. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Sharon Czachor and husband Peter of Maine, Kathy Richard and husband George of Burlington, Paula Raymond of Burlington and Annette Reynolds and husband Seth of Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Andrew Foote. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at 11 a.m., in the Cornerstone Community Bible Church located on Bombardier Road in Milton. Mary's family would like to thank the team at Hospice, VNA and Dr. Berry and Dr. Phillip for the great care that was provided for our mother.
