(no subject)
so, for those of you who haven't heard, Aaron is now Private First Class Donny-Clark. His M.O.S. is Supply Specialist, and he's enlisted for 3 years. he shipped to Burlington, en route to BCT (basic combat training), this morning. he finishes AIT (advanced individual training) in March, and then he'll go live on some base in the Virginia/Pennsylvania/D.C. area for another two years or so.
sorry to have been so sketchy, friends, but it wasn't my place to tell.
i'm crazy tired and hungover. i spent a week driving to, being in, and driving back from north carolina. aaron and i transported his stuff and went to his sister's wedding (she wore fairy wings for the ceremony! amazing!). i did crazy things, stressful things (dear god i met aaron's entirely immediate family and lots of his extended family), and lots of logistic things. i've missed a lot of classes. last night wasn't bad; aaron and i both drank too much (after not sleeping much the night before and night eating much that day) and had some issues. it's fine now, but it was a bad time for it, it being the night before he left and all.
i'm going to be a little crazy without him, for a while at least, but i also think the separation will be good in all sorts of ways. it will be good to give us a chance to start our relationship anew, and the army will undoubtedly be good for him.
