Academic Failure

Mar 08, 2007 14:46

I just slept until 2pm, and only woke up because Rachel called me.

This means I skipped German (intentionally, I was going to fail a quiz and figured I might as well get a zero on the quiz AND sleep in) as well as French (unintentionally, I meant to get up around 1 and go). Two language classes, which means they both have graded attendence.

I'm doing really poorly this semester, mostly because of political stuff--the conference, February 7th Day of Action, AUS elections, and now SSMU elections. All assignments have been done last minute, some haven't been done at all, I have forgotten that I even have classes other than language classes, because I just don't ever bother going to them, I have missed three each of German and French (I can't miss anymore German this semester), I don't study for quizzes or tests, except maybe last minute, etc. I'm scared that I'm going to lose my scholarship...

but actually, this second, while I know I should have gone to classes today, I have a bit of a hard time caring. I think, for today at least, it's because I was going to need that day off at some point, because I haven't had enough sleep in nigh on three weeks now.

It won't actually be a break though. Three people from Vermont will be here tonight for a concert, two of them in less than an hour, and I am bringing Floh, Marcelle, possibly Max, and maybe Aaron to dinner in NewRez tonight. I think all three of the Vermont people are crashing here, and certainly at least one of them.

ughughughughugh.

Not enough time, too much to do.

elections, vermont people, campaigns, skipping classes, schoolwork
