Personally, I played SC2 after years of hanging around on the internet and in various fandoms. Maybe if I'd played it before fandom came along and toughened me up (because it does that, you know. At first you're startled at boys kissing and then suddenly you look up and you're happily reading a Care Bears orgy), I would have been as horrified as the guys over on UQM. I don't know. As it was? Oh, I was a tentacle fetishist before I joined this community. In fact, I learned about Star Control II by accident when I read a secret that mentioned frungylovers on fandomsecrets. Since the secret was written on a piece of zarla's ZEX artwork, I decided that I had to investigate further.
Now I'm playing the best video game of my life. You could say that I came for the tentacles and stayed for everything else.
