(no subject)
I am back from visiting family in Illinois, and I have doodles!
Man. I normally don't cram this much on one page. I'm not even sure why I did. Oh well.
Anyway! I'm still having a bit of trouble drawing VUX heads, so I drew a ZEX to practice. <3 Also I brought the prismacolors I forgot I had, so I colored him. I kind of fail at coloring a lot so this page is mostly in pencil. :B
Below that is human!DAX and the captain. I don't know why. Then there's a little DAX imagining himself stabbing the captain's eyes out with his pencil-ish-thing. I don't have a set style for the captains' hair/face yet, so I practiced a little bit. I think I'm going to end up going with the colored one. :D Other doodles include my character who just kind of fell onto the page, the captain getting molested, human!ZEX and the captain, tapdancing!human!DAX, chibi :B-face captain, and the captain being blushy.
Oh! I also wanted to tell you guys about a SC2 dream I had. It was epic, and played out like a movie. SOMEHOW every sentient being in the galaxy turned human all of a sudden. Mass panic ensued. Some races couldn't figure out how to fly their ships with their new bodies and were forced to just stay put, while other races attacked them and other ships in hopes of being able to better understand the controls, or get food that they could figure out how to eat, or whatever. Some began to seek out Earthling Cruisers to ask for help, especially if they had injured crew members that they did not know how to heal.
The 'movie' followed a couple of different ships, along with Hayes at the starbase trying to deal with the panicked aliens who'd come to him for help. And of course ZEX was part of it. :D His ship had been attacked by... I don't remember what race, I think it was the Ilwrath- and after destroying them he led his injured to Sol. Of course, he was delighted. There was some point when he was checking himself out in his chambers and DAX was just hanging behind him making a >( face and talking about how the others were handling the change. Then they just started chatting. "I really do not understand what you see in these creatures." "Oh, I think they're lovely. <3"
All the races looked really neat, too. The VUX were all rather tall, fairly well-built, and, of course, green. :D The Ilwrath scared the crap out of me. They were kind of deformed-looking and argh. The Spathi were a little short and very skinny and had big, wide eyes. You get the general idea.
But yeah. It was awesome. |D
