I believe I am making some progress. I understand what you mean now by saying it's difficult to explain. It's less something that can be explained tangibly and more an... instinct or something. Like you're learning without knowing it. I still haven't gotten much out of it, but I'll let you know if I do.

Ha... we lost another aid again? I suppose the turnover could be much worse - I hear three of the teachers disappeared recently, two of which shortly after taking the position - but it's nice to see the same familiar faces going to work. It's somewhat unsettling not to have Izuru around, even if we didn't talk much.
It's not just the library, I fear. Everything seems quieter. Perhaps I've just gotten used to the inhabitants of this island, but whenever it gets markedly quieter, I can't help but feel uneasy. Like the island is planning something. Surely I can't be the only one. I hope I'm just imagining things.
Lady Ninian has returned as well. I wonder if there's a rhyme or reason to people returning, as well as whether or not they retain what they've remembered. It seems random, but perhaps I'm just not looking at it properly to see any grand pattern.
