Olyotya!

Here I am in Kampala, it is super hot and muggy outside and we're sitting in a nice cool air conditioned internet cafe. Life here rocks, I am teaching primary three (grade three) kids at a local school in the morning and then adults in the afternoon. It's a lot of work but I love the kids. Not too much happening, yesterday I went to the market and slept at a hostel with a pool (definitely living the high life for a day at least!). I live in a compound with a Congolese family and 9 other volunteers. It's pretty luxurious with running water and a flush toilet, though I have been to places with nothing but an outdoor latrine and jerry can water for 'showers'. It is sad to see so much poverty here but the people are some of the friendliest I have ever met and they have so much joy.

I have to run, I am going to the Equator today to take pictures of how water spins in different directions in the N and S hemispheres (totally a nerdy geog thing to do, but whatev). Blessings to you all!

Luv from the travelling mzungu.
