Hatori, while writing out a prescription for one of his oldest patients (Kawamura-san), heard his phone ring from under a huge pile of unorganized papers. Non-Sohma patient files, Sohma patient files, notes about random illnesses which he had not yet seen, but was curious about, all lay ontop of the noisy device

"I hope your brief respite has been good Akito-sama," she said. "Lunch is grilled eel and light miso soup." Her hands were old and wrinkled, under his watchful eyes he saw them tremble under the weight of the dishes.
Shifting closer to the table Akito ignored the food. "How old are you Keiko?"
The old lady seem startled at the question but after a calming breath replied. "Fifty-five, Akito-sama. Is some-"
"Do you have a son? Daughter? Married? Children?" Akito interrupted.
Keiko smiled with something akin to pride at the mention of her grandson. It riled Akito, but he brushed the feeling aside, currently in the mood for small talk. "I have a son, he has also given me a beautiful grandson. He's going to be four this summer. He's leaving for a camping trip this afternoon, I wish I could have sent him away."
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Keiko freezed, noticing the dark glint of anger that flashed in Akito's eyes. "I'm very sorry Akito-sama! I shouldn't have said that!"
"If you wanted to leave from the start," Akito growled, fingers curling round the table edge dangerously. "then get out!"
The servant squeaked and flew hastily apologizing again ran out the door, sliding it in place. Her pattering of feet echoed down the corridor, and disappeared as it turned round the corner.
There Akito sat, still ignoring his food as he contemplated the words Keiko had said. What was camping? Did they sleep out in the wild? Wasn't that dangerous? What about the germs, Hatori would have balked if he, Akito Sohma was subjected to such treatment.
Hatori would have balked if he, Akito Sohma was subjected to such treatment.
A sly grin slipped into place and he yelled for yet another servant, "I want Hatori, now." she nodded wordlessly and almost sprinted out the front door.
"Camping..." Akito smirked, picking up his chopsticks.

Hatori looked through the tiny peephole and nodded to himself. It must be time for Akito's checkup.. he whispered to himself, opening the door. A young servant girl nervously twirled her fingers in her long dark locks as the doctor nudged a door stopper between the ground and the door, obviously not keen on having to go for Akito.
With a good reason on why the girl appeared, the dragon braced himself against the wall directly outside of his house and waited for her to speak.
She bit her lower lip and mentally fumbled for the words to speak, suddenly bashful in front of the handsome doctor. Ooh.. he really is very attractive.. Stuttering, the poor girl opened her mouth and spoke:
"Aah.. Hatori-san, Akito-sama wants.. t-to see you," she ended up squeaking, her face turning beet red after she finished. Hatori, sensing her anxiety, closed the door and didn't bother to answer, already making his way to the main house.
The girl followed him meekly, stumbling over a twig or two, still entranced by Hatori's good looks. Hatori glanced back at her, shaking his head and secretly asking himself why she seemed so anxious. Perhaps she needed a couple of anxiety pills? He had plenty after all.
Finally coming to the mainhouse, the doctor waved goodbye to the girl, almost telling her to come by for a vist, but stopped in midthought as his eyes landed on Akito. He unzipped his jacket, taking it off and approached the clan leader. "Akito, is it time for your appointment?," Hatori asked, resting the jacket on his arm.

Tinkering with the chopsticks, Akito grinned as he tried picturing the distress on the doctor's face. Camping would be dirty, hot and disgusting. But he was sick of being cooped up in his room all day, facing the bare walls and all alone without anyone to toy with and upset.
"I want to go camping Hatori. I want Ayame, Kureno and you to go camping with me." Akito smiled, hiding a portion of his face beneath his arms, his eyes only visible and awaited the doctor's reaction.

Glancing up at the black haired one, the doctor eyed his cousin's appearance and frowned. Even if his idea was strange, Akito did look like he needed some fresh air.. Hatori cocked his head to the side and started to agree with Akito, but suddenly a mental image of Ayame trying to persuade him to sing campfire songs popped into his head. An entire weeked with Ayame, Akito and Kureno- was he up to this? Hesitatingly, the dragon finally responded, knowing he would regret it later.
"Camping? Well, you do look like you need some fresh air.. not for too terribly long, I'm afraid what the sun might do to you," he said, running his fingers down his dress pants in a vein attempt at dewrinkling them.

Hatori hesitated to reply, his reluctance apparent to Akito. He wondered if it stemmed from his choice of company or the responsiblity of ensuring he stayed alive and healthy through the trip. "I'm afraid what the sun might do to you..." The clan head frowned at the mention of the bright source of light, how could he have forgotten that camping left him out in the open.
"Find a solution for the sun, I don't care how." The clan head replied, straightening himself. "Where's Kureno?"

But, the dragon fully expected a bitter response to his simple compliance with his plan and had way too much experience dealing with the other's rapid mood swings. Brushing his fingers across his jacket to pick up a stray ball of lint, the doctor pondered for a moment about his cousin's question: "Where's Kureno?" Hatori's two year younger cousin, a meek and kind member of the cursed portion of the family, normally never strayed even ten feet away from the clan leader and dared not to disobey any order of Akito.
That's odd.. he's usually attached at the hip with Akito, he thought to himself as he streched his left arm out. From sitting for hours at a time at his desk, the dragon's entire body felt slightly sore from staying in the same position for so long. Hatori popped his neck to finish his brief streching session and answered Akito's question.
"I'm not sure where Kureno is. Isn't he normally with you?," he inquired, his eyebrow tilting up in a "I really don't know" fashion.
