Hi all!
I found something that may be appealing to anyone into Japanese fashion, cosplay, anime, and anything related to the culture in general. It's a bit late since the advanced ticket sale ends Sunday, but you can always purchase it at the door.
Funky Fresh Cosplay presents the AniMaid Café! Spend your day with us at AniMaid Café, where you become the Master, and have maids cater to your needs. Come and enjoy a home-cooked or prepared meal of your choice along with drinks, snacks, and of course, delicious desserts. Afterwards, enjoy a wide array of entertainment, events, and performances.
The goal of AniMaid Café will to be run similar to a maid café you would find in Akihabara, Japan, but with added entertainment so you won't feel the need to leave after your meal is done. Along with maids serving our guests food and drink, there will also be hosts to cater to our female guests, so both guys and girls are more than welcome to join us. Once you have been served, there will be plenty of activities to do afterwards.

Karaoke: Sing your heart out!
Manga Library: Sit down and enjoy our library of manga.
Game Room: Play the latest games with your friends and prove who's best. Games include Rock Band 2, Soul Calibur IV, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Mario Kart, and more. There will also be various tournaments throughout the day.

There will be periodic events and performances put on by the maids and hosts of for our guests to enjoy:
Moe-Moe Jan Ken Pon: Be the last guest to survive and win a prize!
Hare Hare Yukai (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) Dance
Motteke! Sailor Fuku (Lucky Star) Dance
*NEW* Cosplay Contest: Enter the cosplay contest and be judged against other guests. Two prizes will be handed out to the 2 winning contestants. Maids will judge the male contestants and Hosts will judge the female contestants.

Even though this is completely new to us, we want this to be both successful and fun for both us and our guests. We are open to all suggestions, so please let us know what you think. Though we can't do everything since we are on a budget, we will try our best to accommodate your wishes.
The entrance fee is to help us cover the costs of food, decorations, setting up and renting the space. Everyone is more than welcome to cosplay, but we ask that no one cosplay as a maid or a host, for obvious reasons.
