God Bless
When someone says, "god bless" what they really mean is: 'you're going to burn in hell'
How did I come to this conclusion?
I was at work today, and someone was calling to there kid, which happened to have an Asian name. I told her if I ever have a child I would probably give it an Asian name- she asked why- I paused... (she seemed nice, so I gave her an honest answer) and told her because I'm a Zen Buddhist and I liked the monks names.
Her next question....
"If you don't mind me asking, what got you into that????"
I begun to tell her how I had been baptized catholic and raised Lutheran.. blah blah blah, and how enlightening finding a religion that made any sort of sence was, and how Zen helps me with everyday problems and emotions... exc exc..
During this time, you could see the disgust grow in her face. I think she even backed away from me slowly as I explained further as if I had been telling her in depth that I had some contagious disease.
So I ended it with, "There is only one god. So it really doesn't matter what religion you are, we're all praising the same 'creator', just in different ways and translations.
"
I let her get the last word when she told me, "Well, in the bible it says that the ONLY way is through JESUS CHRIST the SAVIOR.
GOD BLESS!"
I just nodded my head.. as she continued to walk out of the store repeating herself, "god bless, god bless....".
But all I heard in my head was, " YOU"RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
