I got an e-mail from my domain host that they were trying to move everything to a new server, but they couldn't because I've exceeded my 800MB space limit. I was kind of surprised, because I didn't think I had THAT many pictures on my site. So I went and deleted most of them (All the pictographies I've done still have their thumbnails, but no actual pictures behind the links).
I e-mailed them back and told them that I did serious cleanup and they said that the size isn't any smaller. In fact, it's a whopping 3.2 GIGS! I scoured my ftp and found maybe a handful of items that were over one MB. Certainly not 3,000 of them, though.
After further clarification from the host, it's not my pictures that's causing it to go over the limit, it's a database that doesn't show up on my ftp. A database for the lavian.net forums.
Yeah, remember that? A G E S ago?! Well, after the forum died, it never went down, and it's been accumulating nothing but thousands of spam posts for the past seven or eight years.
So after all this time, the lavian.net forums are FINALLY deleted. And the sad thing is, I'm going to kind of miss it.
