Procrastinating

Wonder if that's a journal entry title that's going to show up more than once. I suspect so. Just sitting around the house putting off some errands I really need to run, like depositing checks and mailing some shits and going to work to pick up some crap and drop off some crap and visiting Celery because I just don't feel like making a phone call. There was bullshit involving the menu I designed, bullshit and mistakes on both my end and the printer's end. I put the wrong file on the disk (and I use the k variant of disk because it was truly a floppy, not a CD), granted, but they should have seen that the file on the disk didn't match the description on the envelope containing the disk and maybe called me or the shop about it. I don't even think they looked at the envelope, though, because they also didn't print it on the right paper. And I really didn't want it photocopied, because my greys don't show very well and the type is too small to be reproduced faithfully on a xerox. So I've got to go to the printer and be all "hey bitches," which I don't really look forward to as I don't deal well with face-to-face confrontation.

Boing Boing had a good post today about a 15-year-old girl with a great radio show (which is also podcast). Her name is Zoe and she's got amazing taste for a girl her age. I'm currently listening to her end of/best of 2005 show. Her dad, who runs the site, also seems pretty cool, for a dad. RIYL anything indie.

This morning after Nate and Thina made a huge breakfast for me and Trevor and themselves, Trev and I cleaned the kitchen in a relatively hardcore way. The fridge and the oven got scrubbinses, and the microwave got its first washing-out in 6 months. Hallelujah! I will certainly miss the clean kitchen when it's gone in a few days. It's a reasonable trade though, it'll be great to have everyone back.

I've really got to get downtown and handle business now.
