“I wonder how many people will notice your voice in a Super Junior-M song,” Ryeowook wondered out loud to Yesung as he laid some food out for the older man.
“My voice is special enough for people to notice it,” Yesung smirked. “Of course a lot of people would know.”
Ryeowook placed the last dish on the table and sat down beside Yesung. “If they noticed, how come nobody has asked about it?” Ryeowook laughed at Yesung’s stunned expression and started to eat.
“That’s ridiculous,” Yesung scoffed. “Maybe their ears are not sharp enough to listen to the wonderful voices that complete the background music. Or they aren’t even good enough to identify the difference in the seven voices enough to know there were eight.”
Ryeowook smiled with a shrug. “Whatever it is, the Chinese version of U is already the biggest hit in China. Aren’t you proud?”
Yesung started poking at the dish in front of him. “Proud of SJ-M? I’m not even in it.” Lifting up a spoonful of the food and eying it curiously, Yesung took a bite and nodded approvingly at Ryeowook’s cooking.
“Yes you are,” Ryeowook laughed. “We were just talking about that, remember?”
“As in, I’m not in the group in person,” Yesung growled in reply. “I’m just the backup singer.” Yesung turned back to his food gloomily.
Yesung started in surprise when Ryeowook suddenly gave him a peck on the cheek. He looked at the younger member whose face had become flushed. Ryeowook started eating again, though slightly faster than before.
“What was that for?” Yesung murmured with a smile. Ryeowook turned even redder, especially when Yesung kissed his forehead lightly and waited expectantly for Ryeowook’s answer.
“Well,” Ryeowook shrugged shyly. “When I’m in China and far away from you, it’s nice to just listen to your voice… right?” Ryeowook avoided looking into Yesung’s eyes.
Yesung laughed loudly and took another bite of food. “Ryeowookie, you know you can just call?”
“Yeah, I know,” Ryeowook smiled sheepishly.
Yesung gave the eternal magnae a squeeze. “But thank you anyway, Ryeowook-ah.” Yesung playfully ruffled Ryeowook’s hair. “I love your voice too.”
Ryeowook just snuggled closer and offered Yesung a bite.
