Day 3
Ok today i was at ACLS traing from 9 to 6:30. When i called the gf at 12 i was 2 hrs. past ready to go home. Highlights- expanding SGU LGBTQ community, starting IV's, being respected by colleagues when i openned my mouth to right an idiocy. Tomorrow i get to do it all over again but in the end i should be certified.
OK so i ate like shit today. i thought that it was bring your own so i brough lunch which i ate (last night's pasta salad left over) but i also ate the chicken wrap they gave us, fake ring dings, a banana nut muffin, regular soda and my cheese. I had eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast and turkey burgers and string beans for dinner and potato chips. If i had kept it together at ACLS i would be been ok (probably would not have had the potato chips). I find that if I make one mistake then i shoot the whole day. But monday is coming and it will be back to the routine. I washed my face (for those of you wondering this means something to me in my head that would be a complete overshare if i talked to you about it). No exercise today. Tried to look at parasit slides but it was too dark during the very special movies. Might do a neuro lecture so i don't feel totally stupid tonight but i'm currently sporting a major headache and i might just try to write some fanfiction instead.
So yesterday my mom tells me that my job at ORMC (local hospital) sent me a certified letter. So last night i freaked out thinking i got fired or i did something wrong or whatever. I forgot about it later until this morning when i was in ACLS class so now i am trying to talk to my mom but she is no where but i remember that she was bringing something to my gf house for her sons so i call the gf (see above). It turns out that the letter was to inform me of being off probation (from being a new hire) and that i have some goals or something (mom is going to scan and send it to me tomorrow). so that's cool. that means i should get a raise and the ACLS thing should do the same thing as well as maybe only get me assigned to the ER, ICU, or PCU in that order.
