teenagedethgrrl and I have spend a couple of days at tabatha_yeddap's. And this morning I have been down to the bungalow to her dad's to try and sort out his computer. The problem I was told was that it was not possible to goto any site that required a password - a strange problem that I had not come across before and sure enough I quickly found that all HTTPS sites were not working!
A quick check of google revealed this to be a problem in IE6 when several DLL's are unregistered and sure enough manually registering them cured the problem. But having solved that issue it seemed prudent to upgrade to IE8 which was done - very slowly as the machine is hardly fast!
In return I get a lift to Kidsgrove Station with flossdog to catch the train back to Levenshulme. Was nice to go to the bungalow - I was somewhast nervous before going but I really didn't have anything to be nervous about.....
