Results of earlier admin post
Okay, it's been long enough for people to weigh in if they want to. It looks like the response to allowing referral offers on the group is a guarded neutral at best, and a few strongly against at worst. So I'm going to do the mod thing and say we won't allow them here. It's not really a "frugal" thing, plus as others pointed out there's always your own friends list if you want to pimp stuff like that.
If anyone does feel strongly enough about wanting to have a community place to post said offers, they're welcome to make their own community for it and I'll happily put a link to it in the userinfo for this one.
I'm going to update the userinfo to indicate this addition to the rules. Thanks to everyone who gave their input!
