speaking of dvd players and all...
...this is following from an aside in the last post. I need a dvd player, and a cd player (my cd player drive in my computer died, and interestingly the sound seemed to go a bit before that, so I have no sound-making things around at all except the cats). Is it possible, and smart, to get a drive that I can just stick in my computer that will play both? (I have put in an ethernet card, so if it's not harder than that, I'm okay.) Someone gave me a perfectly nice tv that has a built-in vhs player, so I'm not in a hurry to trade in or replace that. I mostly want to be able to watch dvds, not necessarily make them or even record off tv, and to listen to cds. What is the cheapest, most cheerful way of doing this? Thanks, you guys...
