I know you said "most." :) But...even with this clarification, I disagree. Yet, I don't know where you are coming from on this...but your comments read like a very hastily drawn generalization. Maybe you could expound? I know you well enough to know that you have thought this out more. :) Write it out, my friend. :)

I shudder to think of Jesus as a theistic Marxist (which is pretty much a contradiction in terms). Marxism runs deeper than an extension of liberalism, and is diametrically opposed to many Christian ideas (such as the Puritan work ethic, derived from the Bible).

As for Jesus being a liberal...do you mean the classical sense of liberalism (free from the fear of coercion, liberty, etc) or the modern definition of liberalism? There's a huge difference there...it's a pity that the definition of "liberalism" has changed (another work of modern day deconstructionists).

Republicans...wow, they are a HUGE, big tent party now (as are democrats). You really can't address them as a bunch without running into difficulty. ;)

Aww...I love political theory. So messy...but such fun! :) But honestly, this stuff isn't what I'm most interested in anymore. It pales in comparison to some other issues that have caught my attention...but now I'm rambling...;)...hey, why am I thinking? I'm on SPRING BREAK! (YAY!) Bye bye!
