More drugs.

Taking various kinds of prescribed drugs is only serving to reinforce my belief (conceit, delusion) that the division between legal and illegal drugs is almost entirely superficial.

A brief list of things I think people say in defense of the status quo: They don't get people high, they have lower abuse potential, they are less habit forming, they have superior or more immediate and necessary medicinal purposes.

Based on a combination of googling and personal exper [imentation/ience] I submit that every one of those has at least one damning counter-example. I further postulate that, on average, it's a wash in every category.

I feel so lucky to be white and middle class (and male, but less significantly so in this lens) because (and trust me this is not at the top of the list of reasons why) I'm not subject to the whims of a government trying to protect stupid people from their own mistakes, and trying to suppress active thought in the rest. I have the freedom to manage my own life, so long as it's carefully.

I don't HAVE to let anyone else make my informed choices, because I've been empowered to inspect the consequences of my actions, educated on how to deduce them, raised so as to accept them, and painted white so as to avoid any meddling in that process.

I'm out on the highway, and they've handed me a spare set of cop lights for my car.

Yeah, I suppose it's dangerous, but what else am I supposed to do? If you were one of just a few to get out ahead of the traffic jam ,and knew you wouldn't get caught... wouldn't you go fast?
