Karl and I went into Pittsburgh today to do some errands downtown, stop by my credit union, and to visit my old job. I toted him around in the Kokopax carrier, which both Karl and I seem to like.
I stopped in the credit union and then at Penn Brewery, where I caught up with some people and talked for a while about the state of the brewery. For those interested, they are slowly ramping up to have a full selection of Penn beer, plus they now want to make some different styles of ale. See the P-G article and the KDKA article for details.
When I was downtown, I parked in a garage near the county courthouse. It was 3 stories and almost all free-form "park yourself, but don't block anyone in" spots. It was almost full, so I had to triple-park on the 3rd story, where an attendant will move your car if needed while you are gone. 45 minutes and $6 in parking later (after a quick trip to get a license and then a fun Karl-bouncy walk around downtown) I left and headed back home. Karl was pooped by the time we got back, so I decided not to get more errands done and simply let him nap at home. He ate at 3 and then slept from 4-6:15pm when I got him up to leave and pick up heike.
