Begin Again

Someday we'll all forget where we live.

What are names are.

Who are family is.

And whereever it is we were headed.

We'll ask people on the streets,

"Who am I?"

They'll reply,

" I dont know who I am, how would I know who you are?"

Key will collect on the ground.

There's no locks with matching keys anymore.

Noone will open anything again.

Food will rot in the fridge, we dont remember hunger.

Children with caked dirt on their faces and collecting under their finger nails will peer out from under their blankets, their only security remaining.

Animals will be left to fend for themselves, returning to their primitive state.

Politicians will ceast lying,

preachers no longer preach.

Sun no longer shines.

Night will prevail with the only comforting constant being the falling stars above our heads; constallations we dont remember the names of.

Its when we forget what we presently are that we will remember what we wishes we could have been.
