So needless to say, I haven't really updated in a while.

It's a combination of laziness, lack of time and an progressively dwindling interest in sharing my life on the webs.

I've opted for a more general way of sharing my thoughts and internet discoveries over at google reader. so While this is perhaps not the last post on this journal, it is certainly one of them as I don't see myself maintaining my LJ much in the future. In the meantime, I would encourage people to use Google reader. Its a fancy alternative to copy-pasting a link and sharing it with whomever might find it interesting - and often those who do not.

You can follow my shared items ici

As a general update on life, N is done with her first year of law school, we have an adorable kitten cat, Mr. Knightley. He's an absolute sweetheart; anyone who has met him can attest to that.  I have been working at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the past 10 months, first as a Visitor Services Assistant, and more recently, a recent promotion to the Administrative Assistant of the IS & AV/Telecom Departments at the same museum. My commute is awesome- 1 minute by foot - and life in general is pretty swell.

I'm also an uncle, Nathaniel Rodrigues was born to my sister Amaya on December 5th. He's adorable too; you can see a picture on my facebook account. If you're not friends with me, tough... or just let me know and I can share a picture somehow.

I'll leave this with some quick, final thoughts.  It's fascinating to look back at life over the past 12 months. Thinking to where I was then, to where I am now. Thinking about who my social circle consists of (mostly people I have met in the last 10 months) and how a real job equals a reality check with regards to finances and responsibilities.  Philadelphia is a great city, and I have come to enjoy its many many many quirks over the past year, but I think my life here has an expiration date wihe N is done with law school.  That said, I'm not sure Miami is really somewhere I want to live. I've become spoiled by vehicular independence, a proximity to everything, and a mass-transit system (no matter how dysfunctional it is).  Plus, Philly is essentially in the heart of the country - 2 hrs from eveyrthing, it seems; either by plane or car or bus.

That's all for now.
Tchau.
