That was a long time ago. As I recall, my description of Von Braun was based entirely on the mannerisms he displayed at the time of my interview with him. And I had seen the same mannerisms by him in a number of public occasions. Von Braun's animation and articulateness set him apart from the stiffness and laconic presentations of most aerospace engineers and manager. I do not recall that I had Dr. Strangelove in mind when I wrote the article. Good luck on your paper. Regards, John
