(no subject)
It's close to 2 Am and I'm up writing the paper that I just ranted about in the previous post.
To be fair, I have done virtually no work since 6PM. Since then, it's been dinner, wal-mart run (i'm ashamed to admit I take advantage of their 'always low prices' gimmicks) for Warsteiner and Blue Moon, Grey's and the eternal 80's concert. Racer-X is a cover band - an 80's cover band. The band is made up of 2 professors and two of their friends. They dress up generally sound badass. It's even more enjoyable now that I've had class with one of them. Considering how stoic and straight-laced he is in class, it's phenomenal to see him rocking out to Journey and Jacko. Truly good times.
Considering it's Ivies, everyone was plastered. Which is fine. But then numerous people decided it would be a great idea to body-surf. There was no shortage of close calls wherein drunk person supported by other drunk people took a fall - coming class to killing themselves. Cue in the dumb bitch with a water gun and the jackass who chucked a [thankfully] empty beer can, and you get a very crazy atmosphere.
Anyway. This whole post was an excuse to talk about an awesome cover. Not the 80's. I'm talking about a 'Puff the Magic Dragon' Cover. By Broken Social Scene. The best part about it is, it's absolutely free. Just right click and tell it to download link. And voilà, it's yours.
So now I must get back to work. The fun starts tomorrow. Stefano and Andrei are on their way up - theyr'e actually leaving in about 5 hours. So exciting.
