Cycle

I'm beginning to get into the rhythm of things. I can deal with living relatively far from campus- 10 minutes by foot is not by any reasonable measure far, excecpt for when you consider Howell House and the freshman bricks, my previous residences were ON campus. To toot my own horn, I feel like I've outgrown the college on-campus experience. Now crucial question, does that mean that I would make a good proctor or a bad proctor? The reason I ask is that I'm seriously contemplating applying for next year. Applications are available at the end of the month.
A couple observations-
1. I've dealt with such diverse living experiences at Bowdoin- alcoholic jock roommates, annoying neatfreak roommates, the foreigner, the single, the zoo that was Howell... what this all adds up to is that I feel like I'm a veteran of college housing.
2. I lack the cheerleader personality that most Housing people seem to have.
3. It would be pretty annoying dealing with kids my sister's age next year.
4. It would/could be really fun.

So yeah, that's that.

I'm going to Boston tomorrow for the weekend. It's time to catch up with Steven & company who I haven't seen since Dan's wedding in june, and haven't seen in Boston in a year.
Next weekend, It'll be Dartmouth via Cathy's car to visit Laura (very excited)
And the weekend after that I'm pretty sure I'm going to Dartmouth again. We shall see if that works out.

I've decorated my room with the following:
"earth at Night" National Geographic poster that came with the Mag about a year ago. A map of the city of São Paulo.
A Poster of Corinthians Campeão Brasileiro 2005. (It's like winning the World Series, Super Bowl and the Stanley Cup).
A map of Ilhabela that I took from a restaurant. It was actually the place mat, and only just discovered that I had it in a suitcase of mine.
A random assortment of postcards that I have intended to send to people (there is actual writing on the back of a couple of those), postcards I have received from People, (Charlotte, the George W. Bush postcard did not make my wall), poscards I bought in Brazil/London/Ireland because I thought they were pretty.
Two japanese prints, the wave and Sudden Shower Over Ohashi and Atake.
The last and my favorite bit of decor is the cloth painting Laura got for me in Africa. I put it in the window and looks fabulous in the morning when the light shines through it. Really really pretty.

Anyway, s'about it.
A little reading and I suppose packing before I go to sleep.
