A couple of weeks ago I took several pictures around the town...
I think it doesn't interest any of my Brazilian friends, but I think it would be nice for my foreign LJ friends to see how is like the city I live in.
Last week was really cloudy <3 (I love bad weather hehe), so you probably won't see any blue sky on these pictures.
Niterói's Modern Art Museum: Niterói is a town next to Rio, my college is there. It's about 15 minutes by ferry from downtown Rio.
Rainy day as you can see. That day, at the museum, I took a silk-screen workshop with some artists from the
Andy Warhol museum on Pittsburgh. Cool stuff, but it seemed to me they didn't know how to do their thing alright hehe. Seriously guys, before going to a foreign country to give workshops, try learning the thing you are supposed to teach haha.
Arpoador: A beach nearby.
I took both in different days on the same week. There was a surf championship happening and the beach was crowded, although you can't see it. The contestants were waiting for their turn to surf, so there was no one on the water.
It was night and I tried to take a picture of the hill on the background of the beach, but it was so cloudy and there was so little light it they don't really show.
Lake Rodrigo de Freitas
Other photos
This was sunset at Copacabana. Pretty much the only picture with clear sky. (Yes, I saturated but the original photo isn't that different)
This is an ancient Theater there's downtown. Very old and kinda fancy. This one is not from last week, but I only developed this roll of film last week. (This is one film but all the other photos are digital)
