baa!
hello i'm back!!!
everytime i'm faced with this blank space i never know where to start...
how about: WOW!
panama was simply amazing, one of the best experiences i've ever had.
it was funny coz on the way to the airport in panama, i fell asleep on the bus, (the same bus that picked us up from the airport when we first landed) and when i woke up, it was as if everything that happened in panama was a dream that i had. the people on the bus were the same as when we arrived (with glasses and looking tired) but inwardly, i know all of us have been majorly changed by God. relationships have been built since we first met and we were leaving with precious experiences that God has blessed us with.
for me personally, i thank God so much for teaching me and revealing to me who He is. His sovereignty and His love for His people, His patience and faithfulness, and just how good He is. the more i know about Him, the more i want to know...
this morning i was doing my QT when suddenly i caught sight of the sheep on my bedsheet and the song "I just want to be a sheep" came into my head.
I just want to be a sheep baa baa baa baa
I just want to be a sheep baa baa baa baa
I pray to the Lord my soul to keep
I just want to be a sheep baa baa baa baa
I dont want to be a pharisee
I dont want to be a pharisee
Coz they're not fair you see
I dont want to be a pharisee

Coz they're so sad you see
I dont want to be a saducee
I dont want to be a hypocrite
I dont want to be a hypocrite
Coz they're not hip with it

amanda and i often sang this when we were in panama and today as i reflected on the words of the song...i realized how God really just wants us to be His sheep. and all sheep does is follow the voice of its shepherd. the pharisees and saducees do all these works and everything they think will justify their lives but that's not what God wants us to do. the call is simple, follow Him. He loves us so much that He doesn't require anything else on our part except obedience...but we need to learn to hear His voice, to recognize Him when He calls. and that's by getting to know God. Search Him out and He will be found, God doesn't play hide-and-seek with us, He is there!
