I might try YouTube. I watched the entire second season of Heroes on Youku, so I got used to the pixilated thing. But even if I don't, I think I'll still watch series four when it airs; it's on friday night and I'm rarely out on friday nights.

I also love Heroes, and VM, of course. I think Veronica Mars is quite possibly my favourite show ever.

Gilmore Girls was my first televion obsession. When I was in high school, I took a lot of ballet classes, so I wasn't home a lot in the evenings when all the good tv was on, but Gilmore Girls was the one show that I consistently had to watch every week, even if I had to record it for entire seasons. I watched The O.C. when it was new and good and the first season remains among my favourite shows, even if it got really crappy after that. There's also Reunion, which was an awesome mystery show that got cancelled before they even finished the first season. And I really liked American Dreams. I think I have a weakness for shows set in the past (since I've also been watching Mad Men lately).

As current shows go, my favourites are Grey's Anatomy, Big Bang Theory, and Rick Mercer Report (which is like a Canadian Daily Show).

Sorry that got kind of long. I could go on and on about tv :).

Woo, I liked The OC at first and then it sucked, oh well. I don't usually watch actual TV I just buy shows, so I usually miss alot of good stuff. VM definitely ranks very high on the list, but I just finished watching Doctor Who so I'm a bit obsessed at the moment.

You watched the second season of Heroes on Youku? I watched it on the CBS site...hmm...I watched all of Gossip Girl on Youku. Speaking of have you seen Gossip Girl? It was created by the smae guy who created The OC, and although at times it's really annoying and pretentious, it's actually quite good. Plus, KB voic, YAY!

Anyway, it's good to have someone to talk about TV to, because I'm stuck with my family all summer and they don't really care.

I tried to watch season two of Heroes on the NBC website, but it said it was only available to US viewers. The network that carries it here doesn't have full episodes on their website, so I had to settle for Youku.

I watched a little bit of Gossip Girl because of Josh Schwartz and because I missed hearing KB's voiceovers. Just as I was starting to get into it, it went on hiatus due to the strike. Then, I heard it was coming back on the CW, but I tried to find it on CTV's schedule and couldn't. I'm assuming they aired it eventually, but I didn't watch it. However, I did kind of like it. You're right about it sometimes being annoying and pretentious, but it was entertaining and it did have an okay script. I also thought it was about a million times better than the books (in my very expert opinion, since I managed to make it through a whole 30 pages of one before giving up). Jenny really annoyed me, though. Did she get less annoying as the season went on?

Oh right, your in Canada, it sucks they didn't have it on the website for there.

Yep, Gossip Girl proves to be highly amusing. I don't know when it returned because I only started watching when it came back after the break. I do agree, the books are pretty awful, heh, I didn't even get past ten pages. I kind of Loved Jenny for the first few episodes because she was really cute and then she became extreme bitch. Near the end of the season she dropped the whole being cool thing after being beaten out by Blair and just cried a lot, because it was all so unfair. She really hasn't earned back her title in my eyes yet but I'm hoping she will in the second season.

Okay, onto the subject of fanfiction. What is your favorite fanfic on LJ or anywhere. We both like VM and Heroes, so I'd love some recs from those fandoms. Have a good last bit of summer, by the way.

Thanks :). I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, too. How much do you have left?

I just really got into reading VM fic. I looked at it on fanfiction.net a few months ago, and I didn't find a large quantity of quality fic. Then this summer I found all of the fic on LJ, and I awed by a) the awesomeness of it and b) the quantity of it. I cannot pick a favourite right now (but I might change my mind about that when it's a less ungodly hour). Do you have one?

I've never read Heroes fanfic, mostly because I haven't had time to look at that fandom yet. I just watched the entire series about a month ago.

As for recs, right now I'm reading Fractured by embellished_me, which is kind of Parker-centric with a mystery, and the vm_summer fic, All Fall Down. They're both really good and very worth reading.

Since you've made me think about this now, I think I'm going to start saving my favourite fanfic to my memories just to keep track of it all. There's just so much amazing VM stuff out there.

What good VM fanfic have you read? And if you know of some really good Heroes ones, let me know about those too :). I love to procrastinate, and I really hate packing.

Thanks! I've got a few weeks left but I'm heading up to college before that.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've read All Fall Down and really liked it, but I've never even heared of Fractured. It looks cool, I'll check it out soon. My favorite VM fics? Hmm, you're right, that is a hard question. I really like ...To Dream by wily_one24, it's a WIP sequel to Sleep Perchance.... I also really loved theohara's Virtual Season Two, which I only just read. Other than that there are a lot out there that I love to death, but can't think of right now. Basically I'd recommend anything by everything_inme and sadiekate.

I have a "Good VM Fic" section to my memories, but because I just started using the memories feature I only have a few on there because I'm too lazy to re-find all the ones I read and loved.

As for Heroes fic, I haven't really read any either, which is mostly why I asked you. =D I've got to start looking for some, though because I love the show.

I am actually fairly new to most of the TV shows I love. For a long time I didn't watch any TV at all because that would be to "main stream" and I was the basic "I'm a rebel, I'm different" teenager. I only started to watchold Buffy and Angel DVDs of my older sisters last year, which led me to watch other shows, including Veronica Mars, only because Charisma Carpenter (Cordielia on Angel, Kendall on VM) and Alyson Hannigan (Willow on Buffy, Trina on VM) were in it a little bit. Of course nobody told me they play such B*tches. So I bought VM in March and fell in love with it within a few episodes.

Yeah, okay this post turned out way longer than it was supposed to, sorry. Why did you start to watch VM, or did you just caatch it on TV one time?

I caught VM on TV a few times in season one, but I didn't really get into it because that was back in the days when most TV shows required too much time and energy to watch. I really started watching it when season three started because I'd just gone to university and there was a girl who lived down the hall from me who was a huge fan of VM. When I told her that I'd watched a few episodes of it before, she loaned me her dvds and convinced me to watch the season premiere.

Thanks for the recs! I really want to check them out soon, but if I do I'm going to end up at school without any clean clothes. But it's so tempting compared to laundry and packing.
