I know! I was so doubtful at first because I was like 'Sherlock Holmes in 2010" but after the first few minutes I was like: "OMG, this is so good, way better than that movie with Robert Downey Jr".

I don't know a lot of english TV shows. I really like the first 2 seasons of Skins and I know about Shameless. Do you know that Syfy is producing a remake of Being human? I saw a preview a few days ago and this just not right, you know.

UGH. I heard that. DNW America re-makes of anything, tyvm. Have you heard about the MTV re-make of Skins (which I LOVE, especially S1-2)? And I've heard there's interest in making an American Misfits. Which would not work at all for SO many reasons.

My country. It needs to stop with this BS. :S

I know, why so many remake and why not just export the original movie or show, even more when it's an anglophone show? Do you know that The Tourist with Johnny Depp is actually a remake of a French movie?
I didn't know about Skins and I don't even want to think about it. It is a show so particular, so special, it would be wrong on so many levels.
Most of the time, remake won't make good show. The only exception of a good american remake is The Office but it's very different from the English version.
