I can't believe this.
Not only did the X-3 movie previews tease me into believing that there was going to be honest-to-God Bobby/Kitty-ness, but now I've managed to purchase one of the DVDs that Doesn't contain all the deleted scenes.
Which ones am I missing? Quite a few I don't really care about (there are either 10 scenes on the DVD or 21, guess which I got) but, most importantly, the original version of the ice skating scene. Which, I might add, is the Only Reason I bought the DVD to begin with. I saw the movie. It wasn't That wonderful. In fact, given the previews, I was quite disappointed in it.
Ok, I admit, I would have likely purchased it anyway, if only because Cass wants to see the movie again and we have the first two. But I personally wanted the thing for the deleted scenes.
I've e-mailed 20th Century Fox to find out what they're doing about this. Websites addressing the issue unofficially recommend returning the DVD to whence it came and getting a replacement, but there's no guarantee that the replacement will contain all the scenes either.
Yes, this is a puny, little problem. Except, it's not. I wanted to see that, damn it!!!
