This was it. The last round. After the last well-placed kick was executed, the finals match for the Cruiserweight division has finally ended. And the competitor who was left standing was none other than a blond man named Darren Geary. He had done it again. He had once again placed first in the Cruiserweight division and this would be his second first place belt. Hard work and training had paid off.
When everything had been said and done for the night, Darren was the last to leave the locker rooms. He planned on going to the hospital to see how Hank was doing but before he could even go back to his own hotel room, Darren was stopped by a familiar brown-haired man.
"Hey," this man greeted Darren. There would be a long, very awkward silence until Darren would speak up.
"What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you that I didn't wanna talk to you anymore?" It was obvious that Darren was not a happy camper right now.
"I told you I wanted to see you again, didn't I? And you wouldn't come visit me in Philly so I somehow had to come see you again."
"Jeff, I already told you. I didn't and don't wanna talk to you anymore. I don't know how else to make myself clear on that."
"Listen for a sec. Hear me out," Jeff pleaded. "Look Darren, I..." He hesitated a little bit before continuing. "I know what you found... and it said a lot of bad shit about me. I'm gonna admit it. I was a fucking scumbag for having a black book and having pages on it filled with people I'm interested in and scheduling shit out so I can bang them. I didn't expect---"
"Of course you didn't," Darren rudely interrupted. "Not so smooth now, are you? My point was that I can't sleep with anyone who does shit like that, Jeff. I'm not gonna deny that I had a great time with you. But knowing that you'd just throw people away like that, I can't be with people who do that shit."
"But I don't wanna do that shit anymore, Darren. I wanna keep doing what we did four months ago."
"Jeff, that was four months ago. There was a reason why you woke up the next morning alone. And when I do that to people, that means I never wanna hear from or see them again. You had your chance and you blew it."
"Fuck that, Darren. I didn't even get a chance."
"That's because that's a chance I don't think you deserve." After another long and awkward pause, Darren then announced his leave. "I need to go. I got an injured friend in the hospital I need to go see." And with that, Darren immediately headed back to his hotel room to drop his stuff off to go see Hank.
