[the screen is half-filled with tabby striped fur in various shades of purple, accompanied by impossibly loud purring. The fur moves further away from the camera to reveal an impossibly small kitten wandering across the keyboard before walking off and curling up in a ball on one of the beds

[the kitten is still on Yamanami's shoulder, chewing on his hair and staring at the screen curiously, Yamanami looks vaguely amused]

It feels slightly odd to have pets when we're all part animal, though.

[Shiroi also decides to fully enter the screen this time, nose poking the screen curiously before Gintoki laughs and tugs the giant head away from the laptop, and Shiroi growls happily as he settles the large wolf head on the freelancer's lap. Gintoki's smiling in amusement as well as he pets the head absentmindedly while looking at the screen.]

Hahaha... yeah, I guess. But I guess being part animal just helps us understand them better?

[kitten butts her head against his chin at the sound of his name, jumping down into his lap and curling up into a tiny ball of fluff]

[a loud yip of agreement from the giant wolf as he croons against the man's abdomen, ears flicking as Gintoki continues to scratch behind them]
