The closest body of water here is Yalum River. It looks like we're in luck. We slowed down before we could head further north. We could reach it in 10 minutes if we were at maximum speed. If the ship keeps slowing down like this, though, I say 45 minutes if we're lucky.
We don't have 45 minutes. The bottom level will be flooded in less than twenty, which will take out half the furnaces. The ship will barely float after that. Also, as long as the engine's on, we can't shut off the steam or the main pipes to help with the damage control.
Land on the ground if you have to, but we can't wait that long.
If it's any condolence, there have been storms in the northeast near Melior. The rivers seem to connect in Badlands. If there has been enough time for flooding, we could be closer than expected or at least up for softer terrain.

It might be too much to ask, but from this point try not to tilt the ship too much from vertical. There's too much water down here and I'd rather not have it all pouring on top of me.
We've found what looks like the major source of the leak in the main pipe. I'll need to shut it off, but I think Souji's already initiated the backups but expect to lose about two-thirds of our current power very shortly.
The landing-gear compartment might have flooded, but it should still release. Just give yourself plenty of time to do so, and if it sticks, tell me. I might be able to do something about it.
Sure thing. I can land the ship completely vertically on its thrusters. Well... as long as the engines hold out. If not the ship will be tilting quite a bit so that we're not just falling.
As long as the backup power kicks in... we'll live.
