so I went to this way cool all-korean church dinner on Saturday.
I was definitely the only white guy there, and from listening to the others talk (in korean) most of them hadn't been living in the U.S. for more than 10 or 15 years. There was one dude in the air force there who was korean, but I didn't know who he was, strangely enough. but I'm sure he knew me ;p
so we all signed in and everything, and about an hour into the thing I hear them say something about introductions. and, sure enough, they start coming around the room, introducing everyone, then having them stand up and say some stuff about themselves. in korean. and it was coming right for me.
so of course I got totally nervous and sounded like an idiot, saying "thanks for coming," but at least I was all honorific about it. but I got over it real fast when they gave me a present of chopsticks and a spoon. ah, korea. you're great.
other than that, I had a great escapade on friday where I drove DD for the squadron, picking up drunks for 3 hours. it was great except for the fact that my co-pilot for the night was totally shithammered from drinking at the bar for like 4 hours, so I ended up dropping her off too. hah.
Belize for Christmas, here I come.
