Is it good enough to where an FF7-hater like myself would like it? ;)

Dragonrift, from all the previews I've seen of this, plus the fact that the team behind it have learned the lessons from the terrible flop FF: The Spirits Within, I think that this film will change your views... though why you hate on the game so much is a bit beyond me. =3

Rift hates it because it's overrated. FFVI was much better. Sure it wasn't 3D, but at least Kefka wasn't a pansy like Sephiroth.

Sephy killed ONE person. Kefka destroyed the world.

Because I'm drowsy and nitpicky, Sephy wiped out the entire village of Neibelheim too. And I somehow doubt that he managed to avoid killing only monsters during his career in SOLDIER...
And if you wanted to count the deaths his Jenova-self caused, well there's the cargo ship's crew too, and all of those failed Sephiroth clones...

But in the end, Sephiroth was a baddie that got nipped in the bud. He underwent his godlike transformation...and then you stomped on his brains. He was a wuss-boss, but if you'd like to fight him more evenly, buy Kingdom Hearts. :K)

Well, OK, I guess you have a point. But keep in mind, Sephiroth is a pansy compared to Kefka.

Kefka destroyed THE WORLD :[

I haven't finished VI yet, so I have no real opinion. I think I fell in love with VII because it was the first modern RPG I'd played, not to mention the first FF. The only RPG I'd played prior to that was Shining In The Darkness for Sega Genesis, and FFVII was quite a step up from that. ;K)
