The baby was born...another girl! Her name is Ruby and she was born at 2:30 am. The Doctor dealt with the birth of his second daughter much better than he did Chloe's birth. No therapists arrived or anything! *LOL* Charlie woke up around 6 and quickly made his way into his parents' bedroom. He was very happy to meet his new sister. :)
Dashiel and Peter were running late getting ready for school...so they just came in to say hi and goodbye. I'm sure they'll love Ruby in no time!
The SimDoctor has a new daughter...and so does Tennant apparently!
I haven't heard a name, but I can only imagine how adorable she must be. I wonder if we'll see pictures at all...
Seven months ago today Thomas was born. Something was supposed to happen today that has been postponed for a few weeks which was disappointing. A wonderful coworker's last day was today.
All of this has made for a 'Kris is sad' day.
I've had worse days...but, I've just been really sad today.
Having an El and furkids makes things better though. I'm really lucky to have them in my life.
My SIL came by last night and said that something was wrong with her car. I went out to have a look and could smell it before I got to it. It just smelled like burnt rubber. We called NRMA (for the Americans, think AAA) and they sent someone out. SIL needed to go to a meeting. She was on the phone and I agreed that she could borrow Rupert (our Corolla hatchback).
This part kind of bothers me...
We were talking to our neighbours when she got off the phone. Now, we hadn't told SIL that she could borrow the car. She was standing on the road and said (in her very loud voice) "can you drop me off? Or...can I borrow one of your cars?"
This may seem like a perfectly normal thing to ask, but it bothered me. It didn't bother me that she asked if we could drop her off...it bothered me that she asked to borrow one of our cars. But it wasn't because she asked...it was because of the way she asked. She asked like it was just expected that we'd hand over the keys.
That was frustrating.
I'm not at all comfortable with her driving Rupert. I'm not at all comfortable because I know how she treats cars. Not just her car...but, her parents' cars...and even Billy (our Camry). She actually damaged Billy...but, of course it wasn't her. The green paint (which buffed out, but there's an imperfection in the body work itself because of the impact) just appeared on the car. The green paint that was an exact match to the paint on the pole next to the car. The green paint that wasn't on the car when she borrowed it.
I really should get over that...it was about 6 years ago. But, I'm not over it.
I think part of me realized that she would have Rupert until her car was repaired...but, again...I think she just expected that she could use him. As far as I know, she didn't ask if she could keep him until her car was fixed. I don't even know if she called the mechanic today to see when her car would be ready.
I'm afraid to ask.
And I think I'm going to stop talking about that right now because I'll just get frustrated and annoyed.
I'm sure that there were other things I was gong to talk about, but...I can't really remember now. :(
I hope everyone is doing well. :D
