The Australian Open is nearly upon us.

And there will be no matches involving Marat Safin because he has retired. This is not a surprise because he announced his impending retirement last year...but, I'm still sad about it.

At least my number 2 and number 3 are still around. So, I'm sure I'll be watching Roddick and Nadal. But, Safin will definitely be missed.

Roddick is playing in the finals of the Brisbane International tonight. And Kim Clijsters played an amazing match last night for the win against Justine Henin.

El had a laugh at me last night because she asked who I was going for in the women's final match. I said I'd be happy for either of them to win, because I like them both. But, it was fairly obvious from early on that I was definitely pulling for Clijsters. *LOL*

Henin played a tremendous match though.

And then Clijsters did something completely amazing and surprising and wonderful.

She donated her prize money to Brisbane Children's Hospital.

And she received a well-deserved standing ovation.

Roddick-Stepanek tonight.

Go Andy, Go!
