Ooooooh, this was lovely! It is rare to come across Uther/Morgana fics with a happy ending and this one was just... gah, so lovely.

I think I'm incapable of writing a fic with a non-happy ending no matter the ship. *LOL*

Maybe that could be a challenge to myself...one day.

I'm considering writing a follow-up to this one, but...we'll see how it goes. :)

Happy ending Uther/Morgana indeed! Two very interesting details here: he wears blue (color of magic) instead of red (the color of the martial arts in Merlin), and he takes off his gloves. The gloves are, I think, all about Uther's paranoia and fear, justified fear given the mass-murdering magic-users he's had to deal with. But here, he's saying that he trusts Morgana. And has that trust repaid.

I love the business with Arthur and Merlin at the end, too.

My thoughts on his gloves are pretty much the same as yours. If I'm not mistaken, the first time we see a non-gloved Uther is in this episode...when he's sitting with Morgana.

That told me a lot in itself.

As for Arthur and Merlin...I swear, I very well may be a shipper of them as well. *LMAO*

Wonderful writing! I would love to read a follow-up. Uther and Morgana's interlude is so sweet. And I can kind of see a Arther and Merlin story, their interactions are so great (and funny), it would be interesting for sure. I can't wait to read more. Thanks for sharing.
