Regular visitors to Circa have probably met Lynn - she's a writer, academic and all round fabulous person who dresses head to toe vintage every day.

Dr. Lynn Savery is insistent that she is not an attention seeking extrovert, she simply believes life is too short to wait for an occasion to dress up. Inspired by her paternal grandmother, a milliner, Lynn’s love of vintage clothes from the 1940s and 50s is so complete that they have now become her ‘every-day’ wear. The mixture of wartime austerity and Hollywood glamour has elegantly superseded the jeans and t-shirt wearing tomboy of her youth. It would appear that her wish ‘to grow old gracefully’ is certain to happen..
I had breakfast with Lynn this morning at Mario's, and did my best to persuade her to visit Circa on Saturday for a bit of fan-girlish adulation. Miss Rose and I will be wearing our best and most interesting hats in her honour and we encourage others to frock up as well.
