To quote the web page, "CAFÉ PRESSE is your French Bar-Café on Capitol Hill!" (That's Capitol Hill in Seattle, by the university.)
http://www.cafepresseseattle.com/ I'd call it more of a bistro than a café, but in any case I have no complaints about the product. Croque Campagnard and Steak Tartare were sampled, as were the cofffee and apparently in-house-produced desserts. All were done well, and in particular the frites and (optionally) mayo that came with the ST were excellent, with the watercress salad also very nomworthy. The hazlenut and caramel ice cream was good even though I don't care for caramel much.
Tonight's music was very, very 80's, though shifting towards hippy right before I left.
In a town that seems to be top-heavy with good restaurants that charge stupid-high prices all out-of-scale with their realative quality, I was quite happy with the price/performance ratio, too. Free wifi. Full menu until 1:30am. (I think that means that's as late as you can order; the posted closing time is 2am.)
PS: Echo and the Bunnymen are playing the Boston House of Blues on the 23rd of November, tickets on sale now. Just so you know.
